5. When you are booking a hotel room- or making nearly any purchase- always ask for a lower price.  Some hotels will give you an additional discount if you’re willing to pay for your room in advance.

7. Find out which day of the week your favorite stores mark down selected items for clearance.  Always give yourself plenty f time to dig through the tables and bins.  Point out any damage or flaws to salespeople and ask if they can give you an additional discount.
